LINK

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day 2009, St. Matthew’s will be assisting at the LINK Food Pantry by packing food on Saturday mornings for delivery that day.  Packing groups will consist of youth and adults.  On Saturday, June 6 and Saturday, June 20, Kenny Thayer will be holding a packer training session for adults wishing to help with this project.  Please sign up for a training time on the sheet located on the Outreach board in the Parish Hall.

Any adults wishing to help with this project must also complete or must have completed the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse Class. The next class will be held at 6:00 p.m. on June 3rd at St. Matthews.

You can also assist by bringing any of the following items in to the LINK donation box in the month of May: jelly, soup, pasta, beans, canned fruit, bath soap, shampoo, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and large size diapers or pull-ups.

VBS 2009: Crocodile Dock

Are your kids ready to sink their teeth into BIG fun?

That’s just what they’ll do at Crocodile Dock, where fearless kids shine God’s light! Crocodile Dock is filled with incredible Bible-learning that kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Bible Point crafts, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the Crocodile Dock activities that help faith flow into real life. (Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes.) Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!

Your kids will also participate in a hands-on mission project called Operation Kid-to-Kid™ that involves millions of other children across North America!

Get information, register your kids or register to volunteer today on our VBS 2009 Site.

The Vision of Saint Matthew's
To live life at its fullest in Christ.

The Mission of Saint Matthew's
To know and share God's love through the following actions:

  • do all in our power, and then some, to foster, nourish, and sustain authentic, living relationships with God in Christ
  • to build a community devoted to becoming one human family in pursuit of God's dream for us
  • to promote personal growth so that, with God's leading, help, and grace, we will more fully realize our God given potential and purpose
  • to embrace the highest standards, as individuals, families, and a church, of love, dedication, honesty, integrity, and service
