Outreach
Who we are
St. Matthew’s parishioners seeking to know and share God’s love by helping those in need on a local, state and national level. We provide temporary aid in the form of food, clothing and household necessities to help individuals in crisis on a local level. We also provide ESL classes to help those transitioning to our area from another culture. On the state level, we help plant and harvest produce at the Virginia Volunteer Farm to help stock area food banks; we also support the students at Mountain Mission School with holiday gifts and school supplies. Our mission trips allow us to carry our message of caring beyond state boundaries and even overseas.
Join us
We meet the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 at Joe’s Pizza, 22360 South Sterling Boulevard. We welcome all input and new ideas – come buy yourself dinner and join us!
