Spiritual Formation
FOR CHILDREN
Our Children's Sunday School program has classes for children from pre-school (about age four) through 5th grade. Sunday School classes coincide with the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to their classroom (currently in the trailers behind the church building) between 10:20 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. There are separate classes for Pre-K, K through 2nd grade, and 3rd grade through 5th grade aged children. The teachings focus on learning Bible stories through arts and crafts, songs, and group activities. The teachers bring the children to re-join their parents during the announcements portion of the worship service.
Middle School and Senior High Sunday School (grades 6-8 and 9-12) meets during the Sunday School time. This group has a varied program.
Nursery Care is provided during all three Sunday services (8:00, 9:15 and 10:30) for children up to about three years old. Two regular nursery attendants, assisted by parent volunteers, maintain a clean and caring environment for infants and toddlers. .
Mission Possible - June 11 - 15, 2012
St. Matt's is once again offering summer fun and volunteering opportunities for children grades 3-8. Campers will take field trips to different destinations where they will be able to help out with activities from playing BINGO with Seniors, to learning about farm life, participating in Briar Patch Clean Up and more.
